Summer is in full swing, but Back-to-School is just around the corner! Get ready to join our Summer Philanthropy project as we collect supplies for NEISD teachers with the Write Start Project organized by United Way of San Antonio/Bexar County. We will collect items between July 26-Aug 6 and we have many convenient ways for you to participate!

Bubbles, Bites & Blankets
On May 3, alums enjoyed an afternoon of sisterhood and working on a special philanthropy project. We made colorful no-sew fleece blankets for campers at The Painted Turtle - a Seriously Fun camp. The Painted Turtle is a camp for kids with serious medical conditions located outside of Santa Clarita, CA on Lake Hughes. It was co-founded by Paul Newman in 1999 and Delta Zeta has supported the Volunteer Program since 2006. Each camper receives a donated blanket at camp and takes it home with them. What a lovely afternoon! |

Sisterhood & Fundraising Dinner Thursday, April 30th, 6:00pm 4051 N Loop 1604 W, San Antonio, TX 78257 RSVP: Call or text Tina at (210) 861-5141 by April 28th Event Details: Join us for an evening of sisterhood of great food and fun conversation while 15% of your dinner sales go to our alumnae chapter. All you need to do is let them know you are there for our DZ Spirit Night when you order your food. Feel free to bring your family with you. All are welcome! If you cannot make it at 6:00pm, you can visit the restaurant anytime from 11:00am-10:00pm on the 30th, and the chapter will still earn 15% of sales. Hosted by Tina West-Yanez and Heather Guckian. |

Please join the OA Chapter for the annual alumnae brunch hosted in your honor! The chapter loves to see our alumna and celebrate you. What a wonderful time celebrating the season with our DZ Alumnae!
Thank you to everyone who joined us, brought a dish to share and helped make our Annual Turtle Warming such a success. A special Thank You to Heather & Jason Guckian for so graciously opening their beautiful house and hosting such a warm, festive evening. We are so appreciative!! We also had a generous donation for those served at Haven for Hope. Thank you to our sisters for giving so graciously and spreading the warmth this holiday season. Because of your generosity, we collected: 1 coat, 12 blankets, 1 pair of tennis shoes, 16 hats, 6 pairs of gloves and 96 pairs of socks! |

The Statesboro Revue has been playing together since 2009 when they hit the Texas Music Chart with two Top 20 singles. Their sound is a mix of old school rock and roll and blues with some country roots. Stewart Mann, the main songwriter, has a soulful voice that landed him the starring role in “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story” at the historic Cameo Theatre in San Antonio. They have played with Los Lonely Boys, the Allman Brothers Band, Willie Nelson, Turnpike Troubadours, Eli Young Band, and the Marshall Tucker Band just to name a few. You DO NOT want to miss this sisterhood event!
Music starts at 7:00PM and there should be food trucks onsite or you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks! Your family is welcome but not required at this sisterhood event! |

What an incredible turnout at our sisterhood event! Thanks to your amazing generosity, we were able to deliver a huge amount of school supplies and a cash donation to the Family Service Association. These donations will be used throughout the year to support teens at The Neighborhood Place and children in a family strengthening program. We're so grateful for your support and for helping us make a difference in our community!.

Delta Zeta Sisters gave graciously of time at the San Antonio Food Bank on June 14th along with other community members in building food boxes for seniors. These boxes will feed 1,296 individuals at senior centers or their homes. It was fun and a workout! Thank you to those who joined us today!

We had 8 DZ sisters and 11 total volunteers representing our SA Alumnae Chapter as we helped decorate for the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner on Wednesday. We are always happy to support our OA sister, Patricia Jimenez, as she continues her father's legacy with the very special event. Thank you to everyone who made it to the event!

Join Delta Zeta Alumnae sisters on Wednesday, November 27 from 10 am-1pm at the Convention Center to help decorate for the 45th annual Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner. Omicron Alpha sister, Patricia Jimenez, carries on this legacy & feast of the heart that her father began that offers food, fellowship, and fun for thousands of people on Thanksgiving Day. Giving Graciously of What is Mine

On June 1st, the San Antonio Delta Zeta Alumnae Chapter spent the morning with Chicktime Converse and the MINT program at Boysville in Converse. The group shared the importance of staying hydrated during the summer months in South Texas. The moms were each provided with a water cup, adult and child sunscreen, baseball caps for the moms and sunglasses for the children, sandpails, and air fresheners to remind them to “check the back seat”. Participants decorated the water cups and pails with inspirational vinyl stickers created and donated by an alumna. Snack treat included a host of fruits that are great summer snacks that help with hydration.
Thank you Anna-Melissa Cavazos for the wonderful opportunity to serve our community and all of the coordination of supplies for the event! Thank you Xtina Gonzales for joining us at the event and thank you to Dee Dee Gonzalez-Alcoser for creating the inspirational vinyl stickers! ❤️Giving graciously and serving our community! |
Update 4/11/24: Anna-Melissa provided the results of our philanthropy Project Prom Dress event and we are tickled pink!
We were able to donate twenty one dresses, one tuxedo suit, two pairs of men's dress shoes and one pair of ladies shoes. Yay! Thank you sisters for your generosity! The items were delivered this past weekend. The founders of the organization met Anna-Melissa when she delivered the items and were grateful for the donations.
